Family-owned and operated, Cream & Sugar has been serving top quality ice cream since 2014. What started with the purchase of an old, boarded-up Dairy Queen in the Hilltop area of Columbus, owner Rachel Upton transformed it into her timeless ice cream parlor, Cream & Sugar. Since opening, the parlor has expanded into catering with their mobile freezer in 2016, which now joins the Budd Dairy Food Hall experience. Cream & Sugar has since built a soft-serve ice cream truck named Louise in 2019, who is available to rent for private parties! Cream & Sugar is proud to work with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants in bringing the “dairy” to Budd Dairy Food Hall.

The heart and soul of Cream & Sugar, owner Rachel Upton, graduated from DeVry University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1999. Upon graduation, she accepted a position with a major telecommunications company, where she is still employed today. While happy in her career, Rachel always dreamed of owning her own business. With grit and determination, she was able to make that dream come true with the opening of Cream & Sugar in 2014. When she is not working on the many aspects of Cream & Sugar, Rachel is busy enjoying raising her two children, who also work at the ice cream shop!
