Stauf’s has been offering specialty coffee, pastries and teas to central Ohio since 1988. From day one, Stauf’s has been determined to provide the finest cup of coffee – from acquiring specialty grade green arabica beans to roasting exclusively on gas-fired drum roasters. All coffees offered are roasted locally by hand every day.
In addition to the Budd Dairy Food Hall café, Stauf’s can be found in various other locations around Columbus including Grandview Heights, German Village, North Market, Franklinton, Discovery District and Victorian Village.
President Mark Swanson and his team take pride in their relationships with farmers. These connections allow them to continuously find interesting coffees and maintain consistency. As Columbus’ first micro roaster, Stauf’s delivers coffee to its café’s and stores within 48 hours of roasting to ensure customers receive the highest quality of coffee. It is important to Swanson that the company live up to its motto “The Proof is in the Cup!”
Swanson is excited for the unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of restaurateurs at Budd Dairy Food Hall. The Stauf’s team is looking forward to the café’s growth under the mentorship of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR).
Swanson’s favorite menu item is a double shot single origin espresso macchiato. He likes to order the delicious drink to test the quality of the beans and the skills of his staff.
