Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies is a retro themed 50’s style bakery with cookies and treats made from scratch daily with only the best ingredients. We transport you back in time to made from scratch, fresh baked cookies just like grandma’s.
Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies truly was started by accident. Owner, Holly Schaffner didn’t set out to create a cookie company, but rather to find some relaxation and escape from her corporate job. When she started baking, it became her stress relief from work and a way to relax and clear her mind.
Holly would come home after a very long day at work, start baking a new cookie and the stress of the day would melt away. There was just something about being in the kitchen that would bring back memories of baking with her grandma, and she began to create the cookies of her childhood in flavors like the butterscotch spice.
The house began to overflow with cookies, often too many to eat all at once. Holly started to give away the cookies and treats and that’s how the business started! Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies has become a local favorite with two brick & mortar locations, manufacturing, and an on-line presence.

Owner of Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies, Holly Schaffner (or Mrs. T.) grew up baking cookies with her mom and grandmother. Holly went off to college and started her career, but found her passion for baking again in 2012 when her husband commented that there weren’t any good cookies in Columbus.
Not one to let a challenge pass her by, Holly took it to heart and started baking again. She would bake up a storm most evenings and then send cookies and treats to her husband and his coworkers, friends, family, and business associates. One bite of her cookies and it was a unanimous, “Why aren’t you selling these?” and “Where can I get more?”
One night at a women’s networking gathering, Holly brought the usual selection of treats, and someone mentioned she should start selling them. Her response was, “Anyone can make a cookie” and she was met with an overwhelming, “No, NOT like these.” A friend in marketing challenged her to start creating a brand and selling her cookies. After a couple years of market research, including business classes, studying other food businesses and recipe refinement, Holly had created her very own cookie company – Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies!
