Zaytoon, which means olive in Arabic, is a made-from-scratch Middle Eastern restaurant, and the newest Hatch partner at Budd Dairy Food Hall!
Guests will enjoy saffron-seasoned basmati rice and house-seasoned spit-roasted meats, like lamb and beef gyros and chicken shawarma.
Zaytoon uses imported spices for authentic Palestinian flavor in all their dishes, and boasts homemade hummus and falafel, starting with a foundation of dried chickpeas.
Mo Jallaq, owner of Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill, hails from Hebron City, Palestine. His dream to own his own restaurant started when he worked in his uncle’s restaurant back in 1996 at the Columbus North Market.
Mo describes himself as a picky eater, so he is always innovating and using imported spices to make his dishes from scratch. He has to be 100% satisfied with his creations in order to serve them to his guests!
Mo’s dream came true in June 2020 when he opened his first location of Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill, and he is very excited to be expanding into Budd Dairy Food Hall!
